Meet the GenX Glamper
Glamping Life
My parents introduced us to camping when my brother and I were young, and we camped as a family for several years. But, as a teenager in the '80s, the novelty soon wore off, and it wasn't until I was well into mid-life that I wanted to try it again. My husband and I started with renting cabins, and we now are the proud owners of a 37-foot travel trailer we keep on a seasonal site at a campground just far enough from home. As a Gen Xer, I'm always looking for a little piece of childhood to hang on to, and this provides a bit of the nostalgia I crave. We're living proof that you're never too old to learn, and I'm anxious to share our experiences and new-found glamping "wisdom" with others. We're certainly not experts, but we're having the time of our lives!
